From The Women’s Table:

Thanksgiving Boxes

Barbara Pecci, Director of The Women’s Table

Once again, The Women’s Table has partnered with Belmont Hill School to create and distribute Thanksgiving meals for families in need. Thanks to this long-standing partnership, we were able to provide twenty-six “Thanksgiving boxes” that were prepared by students at Belmont Hill School and delivered to us complete with gift cards to local grocery stores to purchase Turkeys as well as all the fixings needed for a proper Thanksgiving meal.

Families from our community partner, Charles River Community Health, as well as local families of Allston, Brighton, and the Greater Boston area, were able to enjoy their holiday of giving with their loved ones in a truly meaningful and impactful way. Families collected their boxes as they were able, and volunteers from both The Women’s Table Advisory Board and our other Sisters of St. Joseph ministries delivered packages to those who were unable to collect them. This impressive level of commitment to volunteerism by adults and students alike allows us to bear witness to true and genuine efforts to pay it forward.

We are so thankful for our friends and partners in mission at The Belmont Hill School, specifically: Ari Itzkavitz, Brady Yoo, Andy Stanton and Sebastian Vuono — and the moms who served as their drivers! We are so proud of the way in which this annual tradition continues to reach out to the Dear Neighbor without distinction!
