Cardinal Seán O’Malley, OFM Cap., said, “This Lenten Service for Ukraine will give us an opportunity to pray together as a Christian family.” This service recognizes that Lent is a time of Solidarity with the suffering.

This is the second of our two-part series for thos This is the second of our two-part series for those in mid-life and later years will consider the aging process as a time of transition and new life. As a group, we will continue to build community and grow psychologically and spiritually. If you are in transition, mid-life or later years, facing retirement or just desirous of further growth, this series is for you! 

If you would like to attend this series and did not attend Part One, please know you are most welcome! We are open to all participants who are interested. 

Suggested Donation: $25 per session, $75 for the series.

Casserly House hosted a workshop on February 9th e Casserly House hosted a workshop on February 9th entitled “Protect Rights at Work” held at the Roslindale Public Library. Attendees were able to learn about wages, worker’s compensation, occupational safety and health, and discrimination from each other and co-presenters Rick Rabin and Francisca Sepulveda from MassCOSH. Interpretation was available in Spanish and Haitian-Creole.  Thank you to the Neighbor to Neighbor and Imago Dei Funds for providing the resources for this workshop, to our collaborator ABCD Boston Roslindale for an entire English Class in attendance, and to many new and continuing volunteers.

Thank you to all our sisters and employees for all their contributions to this year’s E-waste collection! Special thanks to our staff members as well who helped make this all possible. 

We were able to donate 10 iPads, 28 iPhones, 1 android, 12 flip phones and one 1 camera to NCADV’s mission of supporting victims and survivors of domestic violence.

During our E-Waste collection event, we gathered s During our E-Waste collection event, we gathered several old cellphones and other electronics which we will be donating to The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. The NCADV has partnered with Cellular Recycler to refurbish and sell old cellphones. 
These donations go directly to furthering NCADV’s programming and projects that support victims and survivors of domestic violence and the advocates and allies that support them.

Joe Nolan has been a member of the Living the Drea Joe Nolan has been a member of the Living the Dream Dinner Committee from the start, and it is no surprise that he has been chosen as the 2023 Living the Dream honoree! 

Sister Gail Donahue explained, “He’s a gentle man, but he has a loud voice,” Sister Gail said, as she sought to paint the broad strokes of Joe Nolan’s character. Thoughtful. Energetic. Concerned about people.
