2019 Casserly House Education Summer Camp

The Casserly House Educational Summer Camp was held from July 8th  through the 19th. The first week the students learned all about space and astronomy. They studied the planets, the sun and moon, constellations, and space exploration, and took a trip to the Hayden Planetarium. The second week of camp the students learned all about the continent of Africa – its languages, cultures, wildlife, art, and much more. They took a field trip to the Museum of Fine Arts to see African and Ancient Egyptian art, and got to make our own clay statues. At the end of the week, the students presented what they learned, and did a fabulous job! Visit www.csjboston.org to learn more about the Sisters of St. Joseph and their ministries

2019 Living the Dream Dinner

On April 11th, over three hundred people came to celebrate with us, the Sisters. of St. Joseph, at our 6th annual Living the Dream Dinner, held at the Seaport Hotel in Boston. The night was one of fun, and an opportunity to honor some rather remarkable people. Rick Lord, and the JD Murphy Family were honored with our Dear Neighbor Award for lives that mirror the values of The Sisters of St. Joseph. Mary Black, CSJ, was introduced by former student Robert Lewis, recognized, and thanked for her remarkable commitment to people in need. Irene Desharnais our keynote speaker, spoke passionately about her connection with the Sisters and their influence on her life. WCVB celebrity MC, Karen Holmes Ward kept the evening flowing smoothly and Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker stopped by to surprise his friend and colleague Rick Lord.

Sisters Peggy Comfrey, Kathy McCluskey, and Dorothea Masuret speak personally of their ministries and ways of living the charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph.
